I love autumn so freaking much! And yes… it is definitely officially Autumn now in the UK! Autumn to me makes me think of dog walks, fireworks (which are one of my all time favourite things anyway), hot chocolates, comfy knits and chilly ears. Oh, and the fact that it means it’s almost Christmas! I was tagged by the lovely Tasha over at thatlittleblogofeverything (definitely check out her blog if you haven’t already – I’m a huge fan!) to do the Sweater Weather tag a little while ago, and I’ve finally gotten around to doing it!
What is your favourite candle scent?
Anything with cinnamon! I adore the smell of cinnamon so much – right now I’m actually burning Primark’s ‘Cinnamon Maple’ which smells AMAZING, burns well and is an absolute steal at £1 for a small jar!
Coffee, Tea or Hot Chocolate?
Up until this year I would have always said hot choc without a doubt, but I’ve really gotten into drinking coffee recently, simply because I love how many different types of flavours you can get! So I’d either have to go with a hot choc with all the toppings, or a Gingerbread latte – yum!
What is the best autumn memory you have?
When we were younger, my primary school would throw their own bonfire and fireworks night. It was tradition for us all to go, wonder around the grounds, eat burgers or hotdogs, light sparklers and watch the firework display! They’re very fond memories and the chill in the air and the sound of children laughing and adults catching up is so fresh in my mind.
Which fall trend do you prefer – dark lips or winged liner?
I’m not really a makeup pro yet, but I’m trying to start wearing winged liner (I’m always too scared to attempt the wings!). I never really wear bold coloured lips much as I like eating/drinking too much and I know I’d worry constantly about how it looks.
Your favourite fragrance for autumn?
I haven’t found an autumn fragrance yet! I’m so sad about this – the only two perfumes I have at the moment is ‘Rockin Rio’ by Escada, and ‘Dolce’ by Dolce and Gabana, but I so desperately want an autumn fragrance! Any suggestions please let me know!
What is your favourite autumn food?
I don’t know if they are specifically autumnal foods, but I love my roast dinners right about now! I also love a winter salad, so butternut squash, spinach, nuts, cranberries, sweet potato etc.!
What is the autumn weather like where you live?
Very temperamental! Some days it can actually be pretty warm and sunny, but around mid October is when the chill sets in and almost overnight it becomes cold and crisp (that doesn’t sound nice but it’s so refreshing!)
What is your most worn sweater?
I have this massive oversized grey sweater that I picked up last year and wore probably every day! I haven’t started wearing it yet this year, as I’ve just been in work clothes, but it’s my go-to comfy sweater.
Your must have nail polish for autumn?
I adore having dark berry tones on my nails in autumn! Either that or a gold/coppery colour.
Skinny jeans or leggings?
I hate wearing leggings so yup, definitely skinny jeans for me!
Combat boots or uggs?
I hate uggs, I would only ever wear them as slippers inside my house, never to be ventured outside with. So definitely combat boots haha!
Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
I’ve never tried pumpkin spice! Shocking I know! I need to try it, and then I’ll update you all 😉
What is your favourite autumn premiering show?
Vampire Diaries! It’s so nearly back on I can’t wait! (Although to be honest I don’t really remember what happened last season!)
Autumn mornings or autumn evenings?
This is such a hard one! I love crisp autumn mornings, but I love snuggling up with a movie and a hot chocolate and a blanket in the evenings!
What do you think about black Friday?
I’ve never experienced it! In England it isn’t really a thing, but even if it was I don’t think I’d be interested. Boxing day sales are scary enough.
Your favourite pie?
If we’re talking savoury it’s got to be butternut squash and sweet potato! If we’re talking sweet it’s definitely apple and blackberry with extra thick cream!
